We’re pleased to share that 9 Property Group, through our delivery arm Six Degrees, has secured an £8 million funding facility from Paragon Bank to support the development of our latest purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in Loughborough.
A flagship development in Loughbrough
This new development – located in the heart of the town centre – will deliver 100 high-spec en-suite bedrooms across 22 cluster flats, designed to meet the modern needs of today’s students. Now three months into construction, the scheme remains on track to complete in time for the September 2026 intake. The project is expected to generate a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £12.2 million.
Visions and interests aligned
The funding package, agreed in April 2025, enabled us to refinance the site and accelerate delivery of what will become a flagship asset within our growing Midlands PBSA portfolio. This marks our first transaction with Paragon Bank, and we’ve greatly valued the support and sector knowledge of their team—particularly Relationship Director Karl Kent and Portfolio Manager Shannon Altimas.
Loughborough is a town we know well, and we’re confident this scheme will help meet the strong and growing demand for quality, well-located student accommodation. With over 19,000 students attending Loughborough University and the town consistently ranked among the UK’s best university locations, the need for en-suite PBSA remains high—especially from international and postgraduate students.
